Portuguese tourists in Macau grow 28.2% through November

From January to November this year, Macau received 9,094 tourists residing in Portugal, 28.2% more than in the same period last year and still 20.7% below the same 11 months of 2019, before the pandemic.


Across European markets as a whole, growth was 16%, totaling 102,623 tourists. The United Kingdom led the European ranking with 18,538 visitors, followed by the Russian Federation with 16,827 and France with 11,963. In total, Macau recorded 15,071,626 tourists in these 11 months.


In terms of average length of stay, Portuguese tourists stood out with 4.2 nights, surpassed only by visitors from Vietnam, with an average of 9 nights, an indicator that points to the longer nature of visits from these markets.
