Seven Chinese influencers and journalists have arrived in Brazil for a journey that will take them to three of the country's most iconic destinations: São Paulo, Foz do Iguaçu, and Rio de Janeiro. The initiative is part of the Connecting Cultures: Brazil–China 2025 project, promoted by Embratur in partnership with the China International Communications Group for the Americas (CICG Americas) and Lipe Travel Hub.

The mission is clear: to strengthen ties between the two nations and transform Chinese tourists' perceptions of Brazil. “More than just a tourism promotion initiative, this project is a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the countries,” says Marcelo Freixo, president of Embratur. “The rapprochement with China represents a fundamental step forward for the internationalization of Brazilian tourism.”

The communicators will produce videos and reports for platforms such as Weibo, Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), Xiaohongshu, and WeChat, reaching millions of people. There will also be spontaneous coverage in CICG publications, such as China Today and Beijing Review, which are widely circulated in China.
