The Television and Radio Group of the People's Republic of China (StarTime) recently expressed “great” interest in cooperating with Angola's National Radio (RNA) and Public Television (TPA).
This interest was expressed to Jornal de Angola by the group's programming director, Chen Qingzhong, at the end of a visit by Portuguese-speaking journalists and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Journalist Training Center to the two stations.
According to Chen, the group has more than 2,000 programs and, in the context of global dynamics, needs to build closer ties with Angola.
He stressed that the group currently has around 2,000 employees and that opening up in Angola will provide employment opportunities for local young people. The aim, he said, is to continue to boost achievements, and Angola could be a privileged partner due to its location and experience.
