China recently reiterated in Luanda its commitment to deepen cooperation with Angola and encourage Chinese investment in the country for economic diversification and joint growth. This position was expressed by the vice-chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Lin Songtian, after a meeting with the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Américo Cutononoca.
During the meeting, Lin Songtian recalled the long history of friendship between the two countries. “Angola and China are true friends and trusted partners. We are united by the common goal of promoting sustainable development and creating opportunities for our peoples,” he said.
Lin Songtian also highlighted the need to strengthen cultural and business exchanges between the two countries, arguing that strengthening interpersonal ties is essential to deepening friendship between peoples.
