The National Federation of Journalists (FENAJ) has received recognition as the “International Home of Journalists” in Brazil. The certificate was presented in China during the 2025 Belt and Road Journalists Forum, held recently in Jiangxi Province. The event brought together representatives from 50 countries.
With this title, FENAJ will begin to host foreign journalists from the Belt and Road Journalists Network (BRIN) who visit or work in Brazil, thereby strengthening institutional support and international cooperation. The Brazilian Press Association (ABI) received the same recognition in 2024. Now, both organizations reinforce journalistic diplomacy in the country.
According to FENAJ President Samira de Castro, the recognition highlights the importance of journalists’ unity in the face of digital challenges and threats to press freedom, reinforcing FENAJ’s commitment to promoting training, solidarity, and protection for media professionals on the international stage.
