A delegation comprising representatives from the Superintendence of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (Suframa), the Secretariat for Economic Development of Amazonas (Sedecti), and the Bank of the Amazon (Basa) departed recently for China. The international mission aims to attract Asian companies to invest in the Manaus Industrial Hub.
The first stop on the agenda was Shanghai, where the group sought direct contact with manufacturers of electrical equipment, agricultural machinery, and tires. The goal is to present the investment opportunities offered by the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM), such as tax incentives, strategic location, and logistics infrastructure, during business matchmaking sessions organized for the event.
The expectation is that this joint effort will help strengthen the image of the Manaus Free Trade Zone as an attractive opportunity for investors in the industrial and bioeconomy sectors. The joint mission should reinforce the image of the Manaus Free Trade Zone as a strategic industrial hub in South America and offer an efficient gateway for Asian investors into the Latin American market.
