On June 9, “The Third China-Brazil PV Industry Development and Cooperation Mechanism Conference” was held in the city of Shanghai, southwest China. The event was organized by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) and the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR), in partnership with ApexBrasil, the Brazilian Federal Government, and the Chinese Government. Dozens of Chinese and Brazilian businesspeople gathered at the event.

During the meeting, investment trends in the areas of renewable energy, data centers, energy storage systems, and green hydrogen in Brazil were discussed.

Camila Ramos, CEO of the consulting firm Clean Energy Latin America (CELA), pointed out that one of Brazil's great potentials for opening new investment routes is renewable generation projects (solar and wind) combined with storage systems to serve critical infrastructure. In the current international scenario, it is very likely that China will redirect its investment routes to Brazil.
