On December 10, the National Confederation of Workers in Educational Establishments of Brazil (Contee) met with the Counsellor for Education of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, Wang Zhiwei. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen ties and exchange experiences on education, social policies and the challenges faced by workers in the sector in both countries.

On December 12, the Governor Ronaldo Caiado celebrated a historic milestone for Goiás with the start of Chinese company Weichai's operations in Itumbiara. A global leader in the engine and industrial equipment market, the Weichai has invested around R$100 million to build a high-tech factory in the state, reinforcing the Goiás' commitment to innovation, job creation and attracting strategic investments.

More than a dozen Angolan literary works already have a Mandarin version, as the result of the work of João Shang, a Chinese researcher at the Center for Economic and Social Development Studies in Africa (CEDESA), who has translated a total of 15 Angolan literary works since 2011. The works that can now be read in Mandarin include, for example, “Uanga” by Óscar Ribas, “A dívida da peixeira” and “Pano preto da velha Mabunda” by Jacinto de Lemos, among many others.

China, Bahia's main trading partner, has reaffirmed its importance in the state's international relations with another official visit to Salvador. From December 9 to 13, a delegation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Rio de Janeiro visited to Salvador, the capital of Bahia, to deepen bilateral ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation, with a focus on actions aimed at reducing poverty.

On December 9, the D'Plácido Ibrachina bookstore, located in Conjunto Nacional in São Paulo, hosted the launch of the book “Brazil-China: 50 Years of Diplomacy”. It was attended by dozens of guests, including Brazilian politicians, authorities, lawyers and representatives of the Chinese community.

In an action promoted by the Intermunicipal Community of the Leiria Region (CIMRL) to enable more effective cooperation in the area of natural aroma products between Chinese mainland, Macau and Portugal, the Macau Natural Aroma Industrial Association of China (AIANMC), in collaboration with the Business Association for Cooperation between the Lusosphere and China (AECLC), organized a business delegation to Portugal.

On December 11, “Contemplating China - Hubei Media Week in South America” was officially launched in São Paulo. With the theme “Share, Exchange, Cooperate, Innovate”, the event brought together representatives from the culture, media, technology and trade sectors of both countries. The aim is to strengthen cultural exchange and promote mutual understanding between Brazil and China.

The Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute (IPCB) has just signed a cooperation agreement with Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang, China. The agreement provides for exchanges of students, teachers and non-teaching staff in the areas of the courses taught at IPCB's Dr. Lopes Dias Higher Schools of Technology and Health.

On December 12, the Chinese business group, Tiesiju Civil Enginering Group CO, LTD (CTCE), expressed its intention to invest in the province of Kwanza-Norte, Angola, in the agriculture, mining and infrastructure sectors. The intention was expressed by the group's managing director for Southern and Central Africa, Li XiaoGang, at the end of a meeting with the governor of Kwanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, and members of the local government.

On December 7, the fifth anniversary of the Confucius Institute at the University of Porto (U.Porto) was celebrated. Since it was founded in 2019, the Confucius Institute at U.Porto has taught Mandarin to more than 250 people, as well as spreading Chinese culture through dozens of activities available to the public.
