From August 21 to September 10, the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro (TMRJ) will be the only Brazilian cultural institution to join the country's official delegation at the Seminar on the International Communication of Traditional Culture for Developing Countries, organized by the Central Academy of Culture and Tourism Administration (CACTA) in Beijing, China.

The event will bring together experts from various nations to discuss the preservation, promotion, and international dissemination of traditional culture, with an emphasis on contemporary methodologies and the use of digital technologies, with the theme of strengthening cultural cooperation between developing countries. The program also includes technical visits to the cities of Xiamen and Longyan in Fujian province.

For Clara Paulino, president of the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theater Foundation, participation reinforces the institution's role as guardian of living heritage and a space for cultural innovation. Linked to the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy (Sececrj), the Municipal Theater is expanding its global presence.
