CaetanoBus, Portugal's largest manufacturer of bus bodies and buses, has entered into an alliance with China's CRRC to subcontract production for the urban bus segment. This cooperation marks an important step forward between China and Portugal in the field of eco-friendly transport.
In its latest report, the parent company highlights that zero-emission products from China offer “competitive advantages that go beyond price, including innovative features, quality, availability, and an increasingly mature and comprehensive service network in Europe.”
And it was with the new generation of electric buses using “extremely reliable state-of-the-art components and technology from CRRC” that CaetanoBus won the latest STCP tender for the award of 30 units for €11.6 million, announced last week by the transport company.
