Recently, the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, welcomed representatives from the Chinese company CETC54 (China Electronics Technology Group) and the Suzhou Quantum Center to a meeting in Brasília, aimed at strengthening scientific and technological cooperation between Brazil and China.

The highlight of the agenda was the expansion of the BINGO project. CETC54 is responsible for the telescope's metal structure, based on a design by Brazilian scientists, as part of the Space Cooperation Plan 2023-2032 between Brazil and China.

During the meeting, CETC54 representative Li Lifeng emphasized the importance of the "cooling system" developed for BINGO and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation with Brazil, particularly in quantum computing applied to astrophysics.

Between March and April of this year, cooperation with the Suzhou Quantum Center was already underway through a seminar organized by NIC.br and CGI.br in São Paulo. The event provided training for Brazilian researchers in quantum computing (up to 100 qubits).
