Trade between China, Portuguese-speaking Countries nearly US$60.995bln in January-April 2025

Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$60.995 billion in the period from January to April 2025. It represented a 15.48 percent decrease year-on-year, according to data from China Customs. Portuguese-speaking Countries sold goods worth US$34.285 billion to China in the three month of 2025 – a decrease of 26.01 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise exports to those countries reached US$26.711 billion in the same period, an increase of 3.4 percent year-on-year.


The total value of merchandise traded in April between the parties topped US$16.782 billion, a decrease of 6.5 percent from the prior-year period. The value of China’s merchandise imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$9.763 billion, down 14.07 percent year-to-year, according to Chinese official data. China sold goods to those countries worth US$7.018 billion in April, an increase of 6.55 percent compared with the previous year.
