Several startups from Macau are represented on a trip to Portugal this week, and the delegation also includes representatives from the Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) and the Association for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Macau, China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (AEIMCP).
The aim is to strengthen ties with the entrepreneurship ecosystems of Lisbon and Porto and reinforce Portugal's interest in the new Sino-Lusophone technology fund to support startups, which will be managed by Zhuhai's state-owned company Da Heng Qin Group.
In this sense, a protocol was signed on May 5, in Lisbon, between AEIMCP and Nascente Value, "a Portuguese company with vast experience in attracting investors" and also in "accelerating the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups in Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries, with a focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology", as highlighted in a joint statement from AEIMCP and Nascente Value sent to Hoje Macau.
