The Macao International Audio-Visual Festival, which was launched on 15 April, has the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum Macao as one of its guiding entities, and it has been officially announced that the first edition of the Festival will take place from 1 to 3 June in Macao.

With the core positioning of "extensive themes, professional excellence, and international reach", the Festival plans to hold screenings of high-quality audiovisual works, an international micro-series gala, short video creation competitions, professional forums and business matching sessions, among other activities. Industry professionals from around the world will be invited to gather in Macao in June to jointly promote the coordinated development of the audiovisual industries in China and internationally.

The Permanent Secretariat will continue to play its role as a connecting link, with a view to promoting exchange and co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries in the field of new audiovisual media, as well as contributing to the diversification of Macao's industries.
