On 15 April 2026, Zhang Chunlin, Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, led a delegation from Shanxi Province on a visit to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. During the visit, the two sides exchanged views on how to make use of the Forum Macao mechanism and Macao’s role as a platform to promote economic and trade co-operation between Shanxi and Portuguese-speaking countries.
