On October 22, Chen Ping, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, led a delegation to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. The delegation was in Macao to participate in the 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao), the 30th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair, and the Macao Franchise Expo 2025.

During the visit, Vice Governor Chen Ping introduced the latest developments in Shandong Province, highlighting its significant advantages in fruits, vegetables, agricultural products, and traditional Chinese medicine products. He also emphasized the broad prospects and immense potential for cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs). The visit aimed to further strengthen ties with the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, leverage its multilateral cooperation mechanism, and capitalize on Macao’s platform role to drive economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and PSCs.

Mr. Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, presented the recent work of Forum Macao and its Permanent Secretariat. He expressed his hope to maintain close communication with Shandong Province and support its efforts to fully utilize the unique strengths of Forum Macao and Macao, in order to promote further cooperation and exchanges between Shandong, Macao, and PSCs in various fields.

In attendance were Ms. Xie Ying and Mr. António Lei, Deputy Secretary-Generals of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao; Ms. Li Xiaohui, Coordinator of the Executive Office of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao; and Ms. Liu Yimei, Advisor of the Executive Office of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. After the meeting, Vice Governor Chen Ping and his delegation visited the Pavilion of China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform.
