The 30th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (30th MIF), the 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (2nd C-PLPEX), and the Macao Franchise Expo 2025 (2025MFE) were held concurrently from October 22 to 25, 2025, at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao. On October 22, Mr. Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, together with all members of the Permanent Secretariat, attended the joint opening ceremony of the three events.

As a supporter of the 2nd C-PLPEX, the Permanent Secretariat launched the China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Co-operation Exhibition at the same venue to actively showcase economic and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs). The exhibition featured dedicated booths for nine PSCs – Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste. Through texts, images, videos, and product displays, these booths displayed and promoted these countries’ unique products and investment and business environments, as well as the significant contributions of Forum Macao to China-PSC cooperation.

During the exhibition, the Permanent Secretariat arranged for staff to provide visitors with information on PSCs at the venue and to facilitate on-site exchanges and promotional activities. These efforts helped Chinese and PSC enterprises build bridges of cooperation and further leveraged Macao’s unique advantages as a platform for economic and trade cooperation between China and PSCs.

Additionally, the Permanent Secretariat participated in organizing the 15th Industrial and Commercial Summit between Jiangsu-Macao-Portuguese Speaking Countries and attended the Fujian-Macao-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Exchange Conference, with the aim of strengthening economic and trade ties between PSCs and provinces and municipalities in mainland China while fostering closer cooperation among the participants.

These activities attracted and received support from the consuls of PSCs in Macao, as well as officials from China and PSCs attending training programs at the Training Centre of Forum Macao.
