Luckin Coffee recently launched its “Brazil Theme Season” in its more than 29,000 stores in China. The campaign features two beverages, Dark Roast Samba Americano and Dark Roast Samba Latte, made with Brazilian Arabica coffee and the company's proprietary slow-roasting technique at high temperatures.
To promote the season, Luckin created “Arabica Capivara,” a character that combines the capybara with Arabica coffee. During the launch ceremony, Victor, ApexBrasil's regional director for Asia-Pacific, said that the character symbolizes Brazil's cultural diversity and can expand Chinese consumers' access to Brazilian coffee and culture.
In recent years, cooperation between China and Brazil in the coffee sector has advanced, and Luckin has played an important role in this movement. In terms of trade, the company signed a memorandum in November 2024 to purchase 240,000 tons of Brazilian coffee over five years, valued at RMB 10 billion.
