The Government of Sergipe, represented by the Special Secretary for Planning, Budget, and Innovation (Seplan), Julio Filgueira, led the delegation of planning secretaries from across the country in the International Mission of the Council of Planning Secretaries (Conseplan), held in Beijing, China. The mission's objective was to promote a deep immersion in the topics of strategic planning and long-term planning.

The program included events such as the China-Brazil Seminar on the Exchange of Experiences in the Area of Planning. Meetings were also held to explore topics such as infrastructure connectivity and energy cooperation, as well as poverty alleviation and reduction practices.

Julio Filgueira emphasized the importance of sharing best practices and exchanging strategies for poverty reduction and innovation initiatives. “This mission is very important for the states because, in Brazil, we are part of the effort to align the entire Economic and Social Development strategy with sustainability and ensure that we have a bright future, without poverty and without hunger,” he said.
