Members of the Assembly of the Republic recently participated in a seminar in China that brought together women parliamentarians from nine African countries to discuss gender equality and the promotion of women's comprehensive development.
The seminar, which served as a forum for exchange between the countries, served to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the legislative area, between China and the African continent. The meeting was held under the slogan: Strengthening Exchange and Cooperation between Legislative Bodies, Promoting the Accelerated Development of Women's Issues at the Global Level. At this seminar, the Mozambican delegation participated in several thematic lectures.
The Chair of the Committee on International Relations, Cooperation, and Communities, Catarina Dimande António, said that Mozambique leaves China with valuable lessons and more determined to continue working to accelerate the development of women's issues.
