The Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) recently took part in a virtual debate on Globalization and China, promoted by the Institute of Brazilian Lawyers (IAB).
According to CNA’s legal director, Rudy Ferraz, discussions like this are essential, since political and geopolitical decisions directly impact sensitive issues faced by the agricultural sector.
CNA’s Director of International Relations highlighted the importance of China in the process of expanding Brazil's agriculture. “The growth of Brazilian agriculture has a huge relationship with China, which is why it’s so important to understand the country. Following these movements that China has been talking about in terms of food production and imports has a great influence on us in the agricultural sector.” The CNA has three offices: in Shanghai, Dubai and Singapore, set up to provide a great deal of support and representation, with a focus on defending interests, according to her.
