Huawei Portugal is bringing back the “Seeds for the Future” program, under which a group of Portuguese higher education students have the opportunity to travel to China to visit Huawei's headquarters and learn from the organization’s global experts. The first edition of Huawei's “Seeds for the Future” in Portugal took place in 2015, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed with AICEP and, since then, the program has reached more than 100 higher education students in the country.
The highlight of this experience will be a trip to Huawei's facilities, specifically to Dongguan and Shenzhen, where Portuguese students will have the opportunity to attend lectures on the latest trends - such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G and Cloud, among others - visit innovation centers and take part in “Tech4Good” sessions focused on how technology can be used to solve social and environmental challenges, encouraging innovation with purpose.
This year Huawei will select 10 students from the areas of Electrical Engineering, Communications, Computer Science and related areas, who are attending higher education in Portugal with which Huawei has collaboration protocols.
