The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) has announced the opening of a new office in the "Silicon Valley" of the Asian country. Apex will now be present in Shenzhen, a city in China’s Guangdong Province. The Shenzhen region is considered China’s "Silicon Valley" — a Special Economic Zone created in 1979 that has become a global reference in technology.
With the inauguration of the new office, ApexBrasil now has a strategic platform to deepen cooperation between China and Brazil in the fields of technological innovation and industrial development. The office aims to become a link between Latin America and Asia, promoting integration between high-quality innovation resources and market opportunities.
The announcement coincides with projects by the Chinese company Meituan in Brazil. The tech giant operates in the food delivery sector and handles around 90 million deliveries per day. It is headquartered in Shenzhen. "With support from ApexBrasil, the company will invest R$6 billion in its Brazilian office, under the international brand Keeta," the Brazilian agency said, according to information published in Jamil Chade’s column.
