Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi recently met Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira. During the meeting, the two sides discussed deepening bilateral co-operation in strategic areas.
Wang Yi said that China stood ready to work with Brazil to implement the consensus reached by the two Heads of State and strengthen co-operation in aerospace, connectivity and artificial intelligence. He also welcomed Brazil’s participation in the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), noting that it could help deepen mutually beneficial co-operation amid the new round of scientific and technological revolution.
Mauro Vieira said that the two countries maintained frequent exchanges at various levels and that bilateral trade had reached a new record high in 2025. He added that Brazil intended to deepen financial and trade co-operation with China and leverage its participation in WAICO to promote scientific and technological innovation.
