The School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) recently welcomed a delegation from Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL). The meeting enabled the two institutions to strengthen their co-operation and explore new opportunities in academic mobility and international student recruitment.
The DUFL delegation comprised President Cong Mingcai; Ni Li, Director of the School of European Languages; Binbin Jiang, Deputy Director of the International Relations Office; and faculty member Cuicui Cheng. The visit included a welcome session, an institutional presentation of FEP and a tour of the school’s facilities. The delegation was subsequently received by Pedro Nuno Teixeira, Rector of the University of Porto, at the Rectory.
The strengthening of this collaboration is particularly significant as FEP prepares to launch new undergraduate degree programmes taught entirely in English from the 2026/2027 academic year. Against this backdrop, closer ties with leading higher education institutions in China could help attract international students, diversify the student community and strengthen FEP’s presence in strategic markets.
