According to data from the Statistics of China Customs Services (see the attached table), trade exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to US$100.684 billion from January to May 2026, recording a year-on-year increase of 22.58%. China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to US$59.087 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.24%, whilst China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries stood at US$41.597 billion, up 20.30% year on year.
Trade exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to US$24.250 billion in May 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.76%. China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries stood at US$15.031 billion, up 13.34% year on year, whilst China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to US$9.219 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.16%.
