The Brazilian School Sport Confederation (CBDE) and the Federation of Chinese University and School Sports (CSSF/FOCUSS) recently held a strategic meeting in Brasília, marking the first practical initiative under the memorandum of understanding signed between the two organisations in December 2025. The meeting took place at Colégio La Salle and brought together athletes, officials and representatives from the sports and education sectors of both countries.
The initiative marks the beginning of the strategic cooperation established between the organisations to promote international exchanges in school sports and strengthen ties between Brazil and China.
The agreement provides for the creation of the China-Brazil Student Sports Carnival, a programme designed to encourage sports, educational and cultural exchanges among students from the two countries. The partnership also includes the sharing of experience, the promotion of young talent development and the development of joint projects in physical education and school sports.
The memorandum of understanding represents a shared commitment to strengthening education through sports, training future leaders and deepening sports diplomacy. The initiative also reinforces the role of school sports as a means of bringing cultures closer together and promoting friendship between peoples.
