Angola's Ambassador to China, Dalva Ringote Allen, led the Angolan delegation that participated in the Global Mediation Summit in Hong Kong, promoted by the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed).

The event, held between Friday and Sunday, aimed to promote the rule of law at an international level and encourage the creation of a global mediation ecosystem, considering this mechanism as an efficient, friendly and advantageous solution for the resolution of international commercial disputes.

On the sidelines of the summit, which took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dalva Ringote Allen met with the Secretary-General of IOMed, Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah, to address issues related to strengthening bilateral co-operation between Angola and the organisation, within the framework of the "one country, two systems" principle.

The opening session was chaired by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-chiu. IOMed, of which Angola is a member, was officially inaugurated in October 2025, becoming the first intergovernmental body dedicated to providing flexible, accessible and efficient services for the resolution of international disputes.
