Air China has recently announced the reinforcement of its international operation with the introduction of a fourth weekly flight on the route between Beijing and São Paulo, with a stopover in Madrid. The new frequency will come into operation on 8 July and will be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which are already used on this route.

The operational model maintains the triangular format, connecting three continents — Asia, Europe and South America — and increasing seat capacity on the Brazil–China axis, which is considered strategic for both tourism and business.

With the new frequency, the additional flights will depart from Beijing on Wednesdays, with a stopover in Madrid before proceeding to Brazil. In the opposite direction, departure from São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport will take place on Thursdays, connecting via the Spanish capital before returning to China.

The expansion of the route comes amid intensifying trade relations between Brazil and China. The increased flight frequency is expected to help reduce logistics costs, facilitate the movement of business executives and boost bilateral tourism.
