The current state of bilateral relations between Angola and the People's Republic of China was discussed on February 20 in Luanda, with a focus on strengthening economic and trade cooperation in the areas of oil and other strategic natural resources. The topic dominated the meeting between Foreign Minister Téte António and Chinese Ambassador to Angola Zhang Bin.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the excellent level of political and diplomatic relations between the two countries, based on principles of mutual respect, solidarity, and reciprocal benefits. The importance of the global strategic partnership that Angola and China have maintained for several years, which has contributed significantly to Angola's socioeconomic development, was also highlighted.
The two entities expressed interest in diversifying bilateral cooperation, promoting new investments, encouraging business partnerships, and strengthening mechanisms for technical exchange and training of Angolan staff.
