The Government of Cape Verde and the Government of the People's Republic of China have signed two instruments in the field of bilateral co-operation, continuing the existing framework of economic and technical co-operation between the two countries. The agreement was signed by Ambassador Carlos Semedo, representing the Government of Cape Verde, and the Chinese Ambassador to Cape Verde, Zhang Yang.

Following the Economic and Technical Co-operation Agreement signed on 22 January 2025, according to a publication on the Cape Verdean Government's website, worth two million euros, a new Development Co-operation Agreement was signed, worth nine million euros, which constitutes a reinforcement of the donation granted by China within the framework of economic and technical co-operation between the two countries.

An Agreement by Exchange of Notes was also signed, through which the Government of the People's Republic of China grants its consent for the implementation of the Project for the Rehabilitation of Three Secondary Schools in Cape Verde, worth 72.5 million euros, a programme that will be financed from the amounts allocated to economic and technical co-operation between the two countries.
