Brazil is rapidly climbing the rankings of the largest international markets for Chinese vehicles. In 2025, 322,000 units were exported to Brazil, the fifth largest volume traded to a single country, according to a survey by the Chinese news site Car News China.

Even so, Brazilians account for only 4% of total Chinese shipments. According to the CPCA, Chinese Passenger Car Association, 8.32 million cars and light commercial vehicles were exported from China to all continents last year, a substantial increase of 30% compared to 2024. Of the total, 3.43 million are new energy products, mainly hybrids and electric vehicles — 70% more than the previous year — with 200,800 shipped to Brazil.

Electric vehicles accounted for 28% of China's total exports, two percentage points above the 2024 result. Plug-in hybrids grew 8% on the same basis of comparison and closed 2025 with a 13% share. Conventional hybrids accounted for only 6%.
