On an official mission to China, the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira (PSD), visited the SANY Group, one of the largest industrial conglomerates in the world, on 19 January. The meeting focused on attracting productive investments, strengthening national industry and expanding technological co-operation between Brazil and China, with a direct impact on job and income creation.

During the agenda, Alexandre Silveira was received by Chen Jiayuan, member of the Board of Directors of the SANY Group (heavy equipment manufacturing company), and by Alex Xiao, president of SANY Brazil. At the meeting, concrete opportunities for bilateral co-operation were discussed, with emphasis on the possibility of installing a new industrial unit in Brazil, which foresees investments capable of transforming Brazil into an industrial and technological hub for the SANY Group for all of Latin America.

Another key point of the meeting was the presentation of the company's advanced solutions in battery energy storage systems (BESS). According to the minister, the proposals are in line with the battery auction planned by the federal government for the coming months.
