Faced with an increasingly uncertain international scenario, China's predictability has a transformative significance, said Brazilian professor of international law Evandro Menezes de Carvalho, an expert on China-Brazil relations, at the Global Times annual meeting held recently in Beijing.

Carvalho emphasized that China's predictability has a structural impact on the international system. According to him, in a context of geopolitical fragmentation and growing global uncertainty, few countries have a clear and consistent vision of long-term development, with China being one of those rare examples, as evidenced by its four decades of modernization with global impact, especially among developing countries.

The professor noted that, given the international scenario, China has sought to expand opportunities for international cooperation. In this regard, he highlighted the promotion of initiatives aimed at global development, security, civilization, and governance, structured on the principle of mutual benefit and the rejection of solutions based on hegemony.
