Recently, H.E. Zheng Xuan, Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique, and H.E. Gueta Chapo, First Lady of Mozambique, jointly participated in the ceremony for the donation of materials by the Chinese side to people with disabilities, which took place in the district of Moamba, Maputo province. The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Manuel Tule, Governor of Maputo Province, and H.E. Abdul Esmail, Secretary of State for Gender and Social Action.
In her remarks, the Ambassador highlighted China's progress in the cause of persons with disabilities and emphasized that both China and Mozambique attach great importance to safeguarding the rights of vulnerable groups. On the 34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities, China hopes to convey its care and concern through concrete actions, allowing persons with disabilities to feel love and inclusion. China wishes to continue cooperating with the Office of the First Lady, injecting lasting strength into the development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
The First Lady expressed her gratitude for China's donation, stating her expectation to deepen pragmatic cooperation with China, strengthen protection for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, and improve the well-being of the people.
