Governor of the State of Paraíba receives Chinese ambassador to Brazil and strengthens diplomatic and trade relations

Recently, the governor of the state of Paraíba, João Azevêdo, received the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, and discussed new partnerships in the areas of Science, Technology, and Innovation.


Governor João Azevêdo highlighted the importance of new partnerships with China, such as the International Center for Quantum Computing, a pioneer in Brazil, which will represent a major technological revolution with an impact on the population in a few years. Implementation is scheduled for the first half of 2026, with investments of R$ 75 million.


The Chinese ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, highlighted the importance of the agreements signed between the Government of Paraíba and the Chinese Government in the context and returned even more excited about the synergy of the working teams and the progress made in the official mission. He committed to working with the Chinese and Brazilian government ministries to include new projects in the areas of industry, agriculture, and tourism that were presented by the Government of Paraíba.
