Recently, in Shanghai, People's Republic of China, the Vice President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, reiterated the Angolan government's commitment to peace and the ongoing pursuit of sustainable development.
Speaking at the 6th Women's Forum of the Belt and Road Initiative, she said that economic diversification, human capital development, and industrial and digital transformation are priorities on Angola's governance agenda.
With regard to the inclusion of Angolan women and others, the Vice President of the Republic said that Angola is aware of this challenge and recognizes the central and transformative role of women, especially in nation building, strengthening economies, and preserving cultures.
Angola's participation in the 6th Women's Forum of the Belt and Road Initiative, she stressed, is also part of an active and modern diplomacy that integrates gender equality, science, technology, climate action, food system transformation, and energy transition as vectors of development and peace.
