Recently, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESCTI) and Huawei Technologies Angola, Lda signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Talatona aimed at strengthening cooperation in the areas of innovation, technological modernization, and training of national staff.

The signing of the document took place during the Seminar on Innovation, Technology, and Local Talent Development, promoted by MESCTI in partnership with Huawei Angola. The event brought together government representatives, diplomats, academics, and industry experts to discuss the contribution of emerging technologies to strengthening higher education. 

In his closing speech, MESCTI Minister Albano Vicente Lopes Ferreira highlighted the need to train young people in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analysis. The Memorandum now signed reinforces a cooperation that began in 2020 and has been consolidated over the last few years, covering training initiatives, technology transfer, the creation of e-Learning platforms, and the development of projects aimed at building smart university campuses.
