No sooner had sisters Omoda and Jaecoo established themselves in Brazil than Chery began laying the groundwork for the arrival of yet another brand. Jetour, created in 2018 in China, will land in Brazil in 2026 with big ambitions. The brand will have six cars in its portfolio, plans to open 40 dealerships at once, and is even talking about local manufacturing.
Originally created to be Chery's off-road arm, Jetour quickly went global. With the goal of serving 100 countries by 2027 and building four factories outside China, for a total of 15 production centers, Jetour has chosen Brazil as its foothold in South America.
The brand is already present in several neighboring countries, but will use Brazil as its production and distribution center for Latin America.
