The year 2025 marked a turning point in Brazilians' view of China. Searches for flights and accommodation in China grew impressively compared to 2024. Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai are among the most sought-after cities, while nature destinations such as Zhangjiajie are also attracting attention, especially among families.
Since June 1, 2025, Brazilians have been able to enter China without a visa for leisure stays of up to 30 days. Initially, this policy will remain in effect until May 2026. Although it is risky to say that this is the only reason behind the increase in interest, the measure has certainly reduced bureaucratic barriers and served as an additional incentive.
In July, the Ministry of Tourism and the Chinese Embassy in Brazil strengthened bilateral relations in tourism with an agreement to develop a series of actions to promote the destinations and cultures of both countries.
