Government of Ceará and Chinese Embassy meet to discuss economic partnerships

Recently, Governor of Ceará, Elmano de Freitas, met with the Ambassador of China to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao. The meeting, held at the Chinese Embassy in Brasília, focused on economic partnership and the opening of new markets between Ceará and China.


“At the meeting, we discussed expanding navigation routes between China and the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex, further strengthening the state's strategic position in global trade,” Elmano said at the time. The meeting also covered opening new markets to facilitate the sale of Ceará products to the Chinese market. The governor recalled the brotherhood relationship between Ceará and Fujian Province, as well as Fortaleza, Ceará’s sister city with Xiamen. According to him, this relationship favors dialogue between both parties.


“China is a fundamental partner, and we continue working to attract investment, create jobs, and boost Ceará’s economy with innovation, logistics, and sustainability,” emphasized the governor.
