Between January and June 2025, Brazil received 5,332,111 foreign tourists - an increase of 48.2% over the same period last year. If the pace is maintained, Brazil could exceed, as early as 2025, the target of 8.1 million tourists originally set for 2027. The number of Chinese visitors to Brazil grew by 23.5% compared to 2024.

Regarding the new record, the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, said that "we are living through the best moment in Brazilian tourism. These records are the result of investments in infrastructure, expansion of the air network, training of professionals and strategic international promotion actions." In particular, air connectivity has increased significantly.

At the end of July, Air China will increase its frequency to four weekly flights between São Paulo and Beijing. In addition, Embratur has signed a series of cooperation agreements so that visitors have access to information in Chinese, including a partnership with Trip.com Group, a leader in digital services.
