The Ministry of Tourism of Brazil and the Chinese Embassy in Brazil have announced the development of a series of joint actions to promote the destinations and cultures of both countries.
The initiatives include the organization of the Brazil-China Year of Culture in 2026. Cooperation will extend to other fronts, such as the creation of an integrated tourist route involving the BRICS countries and partnerships aimed at specific segments, such as sports tourism and the lantern festival.
Minister of Tourism of Brazil, Celso Sabino, predicted progress from the cooperation. “China is a very important partner for Brazil, and the Year of Culture and Tourism will be a milestone for our relations. By uniting our efforts, we will create a powerful bridge for more Chinese to discover the richness of Brazil and more Brazilians to be enchanted by China. It’s a gain for the economy, for tourism and, above all, for strengthening the ties between our peoples,” he said.
