The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) recently received the Vice Minister of Science and Technology of China, Lin Xin, in Brasília, for a high-level meeting with the Secretary for Technological Development and Innovation, Daniel Almeida.

The meeting focused on advancing the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Technology Transfer between Brazil and China, which lays the foundation for the creation of the China-Brazil Technological Transfer Center. This center will serve as a binational platform for technological exchange, support for industrial innovation, and promotion of cooperation between companies and research institutions from both countries.

During the meeting, a Joint Declaration was signed to establish a Joint Laboratory for Mechanization and Artificial Intelligence in Family Farming. The partnership will be between the National Institute for the Semi-Arid Region (Insa), a research unit under MCTI, and the China Agricultural University (CAU).
