The former Mayor of Ilha Solteira, Otávio Gomes, participated in the China-Brazil Youth Leaders Dialogue, held in May in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai. The initiative brought together Brazilian and Chinese leaders to discuss topics such as innovation, technology, culture, and the role of youth in social and economic development.

According to reports, during the agenda, Otávio Gomes visited high-tech companies, social service projects for young people, and strategic centers of the Chinese Communist Party, such as the Memorial of the First National Congress and the “12355” youth support center. He also participated in debates on artificial intelligence, education, and Chinese modernization. 

According to the former Mayor of Ilha Solteira, this visit was an opportunity to learn firsthand about the modernization of the Chinese model, with a strong presence of artificial intelligence, which provides valuable lessons for everyone. Representing the interior of São Paulo at the event, he also highlighted the importance of connecting the Araçatuba region to global trends. “We have technology parks, emerging companies, and a skilled workforce. With knowledge and international partnerships, we can accelerate development and expand job creation,” he said.
