After going through a slow post-pandemic recovery period, Chinese tourism to Brazil reached its best moment in 2024. Last year, Brazil received 76,524 tourists from China, an increase of 79% compared to 2023, which represents an all-time record, according to data from the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism.

Brazil was included in the second group of countries released to Chinese tourists as of March 15, 2023, which explains the significant increase in demand for visas in 2024.

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, the strong upturn in travel between Brazil and China is also the result of various actions developed in recent years to strengthen the bilateral flow of visitors. One of these is the ADS China Program, which accredits national travel agencies interested in receiving Chinese tourists in the country, and which already has 333 companies authorized to operate in this market.
