Members of the Government of the People's Republic of China were in Brasilia and met with members of the Brazilian government to learn about infrastructure projects in Brazil. The delegation discussed the construction of the Bioceanic Corridor.

One of the importants features of the corridor is the connection with the North-South Railway, integrating the agricultural commodity-producing areas of the Midwest with the existing rail network and ports on the Brazilian coast. The Chinese visited the works of the Central-West Integration Railway (Fico), in the state of Goiás. The actions are part of the New PAC.

"We are honored to welcome the Chinese delegation. This is an opportunity to strengthen our ties", said the Special Secretary of the New PAC, Maurício Muniz.
