On the afternoon of April 11, a delegation of Brazilian and Chinese scientists visited the laboratories at the Guamá Science and Technology Park (PCT) in Belém. In the morning, the group visited the Emílio Goeldi Museum of Pará.
The activities were part of the program for the Brazil-China Scientific Connections Workshop, which began on April 9 at the Guamá Science and Technology Park to strengthen international scientific cooperation aimed at the sustainable development of the Amazon.
The technical visit enabled the researchers to get a closer look at projects developed at the Supercritical Technology Laboratory (Labtecs), the Center for the Valorization of Bioactive Compounds from the Amazon (Cvacba), the Center for Advanced Biodiversity Studies (Ceabio) and the Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency in the Amazon (Ceamazon), all linked to the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), as well as the Amazon Water Quality Laboratory (Labágua) at the State University of Pará (Uepa).
