On 11 February, the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, to review the current state of cooperation between Angola and China, with a focus on economic, trade and technical-scientific cooperation projects.

Zhang Bin reiterated China's interest in increasing investment, particularly in initiatives that promote the modernization of infrastructure. Also, it stated that the positive results of trade exchanges pave the way for new agreements that will boost the economy and social progress of both countries.

On 12 February, the President of Angola, João Lourenço, granted an audience with Zhang Bin, where aspects related to bilateral relations were discussed. The diplomat revealed that he had also discussed with President João Lourenço the status of the construction works at the Port of Caio, in Cabinda, and the Caculo Cabaça dam, in the province of Cuanza Norte.
