The goal is to position the brand as the second best seller in Brazil among smartphones running the Android operating system, says OPPO's CEO for Latin America, Ethan Xue, in an interview with GLOBO.
To this end, the company intends to increase the volume of launches in the country, expand its retail presence and strengthen local manufacturing. Plans also include the arrival of an exclusive model aimed at the geek audience.
In an interview, Ethan Xue did not rule out setting up its own stores and increasing local production in the coming years. “We are expanding our after-sales service network, with around 20 autonomous after-sales service centers and the 'Quick Repair in 1 Hour' service,” he said.
The company also wants to expand its operations beyond smartphones. That's why it's not ruling out launching headphones (Enco Air3 Pro), smartwatches (OPPO Watch X), tablets (OPPO Pad 2) and even augmented reality glasses (OPPO Air Glass).
On another front, the company is also investing in expanding its retail presence, with strategic partnerships with the Magalu chain and the Claro operator.
